The New Babylon: Terms of Membership

Effective: September 30, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Sebastien Poulet ("we," "us"), who founded and runs The New Babylon, a community hosted on Skool at skool.com/the-new-babylon-8623. We've tried to write these terms so they can actually be read. If anything is unclear, email support@thenewbabylon.net.

1. Agreeing to these terms

You accept these terms when you join The New Babylon. Joining also means accepting:

• the Community Rules, pinned inside the community and part of this agreement; and
• the Privacy Notice at newbabylon.sebastienpoulet.com/privacy, which explains what information we hold and what we do with it; and
• the non-clinical boundary in section 4: The New Babylon isn't therapy, medical care, or crisis support.

If you don't agree, please don't join. Your use of Skool itself is also covered by Skool's own terms and privacy policy, which are between you and Skool.

2. You must be 18 or older

The New Babylon is for adults. When you join, you confirm you're at least 18. We take your word for it and don't collect your date of birth. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we'll remove it.

3. What The New Babylon is

A free online community for people practicing a way of life together. Members can take the courses in the Classroom, answer the daily check-in prompts, and talk with each other. Membership gives you access to the community and its material, and nothing more.

4. What it isn't

The New Babylon isn't therapy, counseling, medical care, legal advice, or financial or investment advice, and it isn't crisis or emergency support. Nobody here diagnoses, treats, or assesses anyone.

Joining, posting, reading, or getting a reply from anyone, including Sebastien, doesn't create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, lawyer-client, or any other professional relationship. That stays true even when someone here holds a professional qualification elsewhere.

If you're in crisis or thinking about suicide: in the U.S., call or text 988. If you're in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number. Outside the U.S., contact your local crisis line or emergency services. The community isn't monitored around the clock and can't provide emergency or crisis help. We don't assess how much danger anyone is in, we can't promise to intervene, and we can't locate anyone or send help, so please never rely on a post or message here to reach help.

5. No guaranteed replies or results

Nobody is promised a reply, from Sebastien or anyone else, and nobody is promised a result in health, income, relationships, work, or anything else. What you do with anything you read here is your decision and your responsibility.

6. Privacy between members

Posts and comments can be read by other members. We enforce the rule that members must not screenshot, record, download, repost, identify, or share another member's story or post outside The New Babylon without that person's explicit written permission. But no online group can guarantee confidentiality, and we don't. Please don't post anything you couldn't live with another member reading. Direct messages are stored by Skool and aren't a confidential channel; the Privacy Notice explains what we do and don't do with them.

7. How you agree to behave

You're welcome to take part under a preferred name or a pseudonym, as long as your account keeps a valid email and enough accurate information for access and moderation.

You agree to follow the Community Rules. In short, you won't:

• harass, threaten, humiliate, or abuse anyone, or post hate;
• post anyone's private or identifying information, or confidential information about an employer, client, or anyone else who didn't agree to be discussed;
• diagnose anyone, or tell anyone to start, stop, or change a medication or treatment;
• claim a license or qualification you don't have, or present yourself here as a licensed professional before we've verified it;
• promise anyone a result;
• use the community as a prospect list: no unsolicited promotional messages, scraping member information, recruiting into outside groups, affiliate spam, or selling to someone through a vulnerable moment;
• impersonate anyone, run duplicate or deceptive accounts, or use another account to get around moderation;
• post anything unlawful, sexual content involving minors, or content you don't have the right to share.

8. Moderation and ending access

We can move, edit, limit, hide, or remove posts, restrict access, or end a membership. For a minor first issue, we'll usually remove or correct the content and send a private warning. Repeated or serious issues can lead to temporary restriction or suspension. Threats, exploitation, harassment, predatory behavior, dangerous instructions, and serious privacy violations can lead to immediate removal. When safety is at stake, we may act first and explain afterward.

If you think we got a moderation decision wrong, you can send one written appeal within seven days to support@thenewbabylon.net or by message to Sebastien. Mental-health struggles may give context, but they don't excuse conduct that puts other members at risk or seriously harms them.

You can leave at any time.

9. Your content stays yours

You own what you write here. By posting, you give us only the limited permission needed to host, display, organize, moderate, and back up your content inside The New Babylon.

That permission stops at the edge of the community. We won't use your posts, stories, questions, check-ins, or feedback as content, lessons, case studies, testimonials, research, or marketing without your separate, explicit permission for that specific use, even with your name removed if you could still reasonably be recognized. We may describe general patterns we notice, like "a lot of members struggle with follow-through," only when no person or story can reasonably be identified.

If you delete a post, it comes out of the community, but other members may already have read it, and Skool may keep backup copies for a time it controls. If you leave or are removed, posts you haven't deleted may stay in the community; you can delete them before you go, or ask us to remove them.

10. Our material

The courses, lessons, prompts, and other material we publish belong to Sebastien Poulet. You're welcome to use them for your own life: work through them, print them, and keep whatever you write in the exercises, which stays private and yours. Please don't republish, resell, or redistribute the material outside the community.

11. How we use AI

We use AI tools to help create and organize community material from Sebastien's own work, and to help run the community. The Privacy Notice explains exactly what that involves and its limits. In short, your contributions are never repurposed without your separate permission, and your conversations are never used to train an AI model unless you explicitly opt in.

12. Feedback is optional

We may invite you to share feedback through a short form, a written or voice-note check-in, or an interview. Taking part is always optional and never affects your membership. Nothing is recorded or transcribed without your explicit permission.

13. Money

The community and its courses are free. If we offer paid coaching or services later, they'll be clearly labeled, have their own terms, and be completely optional. Paying will never be a condition of belonging, safety, or support in the free community, and joining now doesn't commit you to buying anything.

14. The platform

The New Babylon runs on Skool, operated by SKOOL.COM, INC. We don't control the platform. It can be unavailable, change, or lose data, and we can't promise otherwise. The community will also change as it grows: courses, categories, and features may be added, changed, or removed.

15. Liability

You use the community at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, Sebastien Poulet isn't liable for losses that come from your use of the community, from what other members post or do, or from the platform being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't legally be limited, or takes away consumer rights you have where you live.

16. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll announce it in the community and update the date at the top. Where a change materially affects your rights or how your information is used, we'll ask you to accept the new version.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. If you live somewhere with consumer protections that can't be waived, you keep them.
